The above cities are all pilot cities for distribution automation of the State Grid. The industry believes that with the increasing emphasis on power supply reliability, the future construction of distribution network automation will set off a climax, and the coverage rate of distribution automation will reach 100 by 2020. And the national distribution automation specification is also in the process of being formulated, which undoubtedly means that the mainstream power equipment enterprises continue to be good.

From December 10th to 11th, the distribution network construction, transformation and management improvement project in the urban core area implemented by Tangshan Power Supply Company passed the acceptance of the State Grid. In 2014, Tangshan will also comprehensively expand the scope of implementation of distribution network construction, renovation and management upgrading to achieve full coverage of 185 square kilometers in the urban area. During this period, Chongqing and Qingdao power supply companies also accepted the acceptance of the distribution network construction, transformation and management upgrading project.

"The above-mentioned cities are all pilot cities of the distribution automation project of the State Grid Corporation. The acceptance should be a regular inspection. The construction of relevant pilot projects should still be ongoing." Power industry experts told the Shanghai Securities News that the pilot project of distribution network automation began in 2009, and 29 cities have been included in the pilot scope so far. According to the level of economic development and reliability requirements, different regions will choose the corresponding distribution automation implementation mode for construction.

Reporters learned that the level of distribution network (power supply reliability and power quality) has been included in the assessment requirements of the State Grid Corporation. By the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan, the qualified rate of comprehensive voltage of urban distribution network of State Grid Corporation will reach 99.30, and the line loss rate will drop to 6%. The comprehensive line loss rate of rural power grid is lower than 6.2, and the qualified rate of comprehensive power supply voltage is higher than 97.80. On the other hand, according to the requirements of the State Grid Corporation's "three sets and five major" system construction, the State Grid headquarters will directly monitor the power outages in the power supply cities under its jurisdiction.

"2014 will be a big year for the construction of distribution network automation."
